Appreciate the comment. Personally as long as the butter is cold and you don't handle too much especially after adding the raspberries (which can become more liquid), I haven't tended to find them sticky, but know the juices can make them more so. And yes, they do expand a bit and more bite-sized can be good.

Easy to make but these definitely need the glaze, the flavor is a bit lacking without. The dough was very sticky, even for scone dough. I had to refrigerate it before cutting. They also rise, a lot so don't be concerned to cut them into small pieces- they get much bigger.

To a point, yes, but they can be a little tricky - when you defrost frozen berries they usually become pretty soft and have excess liquid, so I would suggest you defrost, drain them before adding and take care not as you mix them in that they don't break too much more. You could avoid them breaking by adding frozen, but then they'd make the dough wet as they defrost when they cook, so I think adding them defrosted is probably better, on balance.

Indeed - they're pretty packed with fruit and so you get lots of their yummy flavor. Glad you enjoyed.

Yum! I love scones but haven't tried a raspberry version. You make it seem so simple that I can't wait to try the recipe out!
